Biography

Katelyn Kaiser is a 3rd year student at Ohio University where she is studying Flute Performance under Alison Brown Sincoff. Here, she performs with the Ohio University Wind Symphony, Ohio University Flute Choir, Ohio University Jazz Combo, and Shimmering Silver Flute Quartet. She has been invited to perform in masterclasses with many acclaimed flutists such as Dr. Julianna Nickle, Professor Nina Assimakopolous, Greg Patillo and Keith Underwood.

Prior to attending Ohio University, Katelyn attended Toledo School for the Arts located in downtown Toledo, OH. Here, she studied with Joel Tse of the Toledo Symphony. She performed with the Toledo School for the Arts Studio Winds, the Toledo School for the Arts Studio Orchestra, and the Toledo School for the Arts Jazz Combo. She also directed the Toledo School for the Arts Chamber Winds and Toledo School for the Arts Flute Choir. Outside of school, she performed with the Toledo Youth Orchestra and University of Toledo Symphony Orchestra. She was also invited to perform with the Ohio Music Educators Association’s All-State Band and Orchestra as a piccoloist.

When not practicing or performing, Katelyn enjoys studying music history and spending time with her retired greyhound, Teddi.
